To all Kiwanis Club Presidents
in any location, not
just
Florida.
Dear Kiwanis Club Presidents,
The 22nd Annual Killearn Kiwanis Golf Classic Charity Benefit is
scheduled
for Monday, May 5th at the Killearn Country Club & Inn with a
shotgun
start at 9 a.m.
Last year, the Killearn Club team won the Kiwanis Team Competition
and received bragging rights for one year. The competition was close.
This
year we would like to see many more Kiwanis Clubs, no
matter which District or Division, put together one or more
teams
to make the competition and fellowship even better.
The Killearn Club is determined to defend their title with a win again
this year. Any club may enter as many four person teams as they like.
Of course,
the teams must be composed of members of their own club. The winning
team
will be recognized with the name of the club and the individual team
members
with publicity in the Tallahassee Democrat Sports Recreation
Section as well as the Florida District Magazine.
This year we have a $15,000 CASH PRIZE for a hole-in-one on hole number
three; Plus, there will be additional hole-in-one prizes on other par
three
holes similar to those of last year which were: a set of Maxfli 'VHL'
irons,
and trips such as: a four day golf vacation for two at San Destin Beach
Resort, and a Jamaican vacation. And there will be an expanded
list of prizes to be awarded for "something" on each hole as well as at
least one door prize for each player.
In addition to the usual skill prizes every player will get at least
one
door prize, plus all players are eligible for a valuable special
drawing from
which we hope to have again this year..
A
PRE-TOURNAMENT
PUTTING CONTEST
Players
may
pay a fee of $10 and participate in the contest which will start at
7:45
a.m. and end before the 9 a.m. shotgun start. Prizes will be based on
the
number of participants.
Please select an inspirational team captain from your membership
to organize one or more teams to represent your club this year.
Click on the link below to find our registration form. Print it
and
make copies to submit more than one team. Don't put off your entry.
After
120 entries we will start a waiting list. If you have any questions
please
call Charles Nuzum, 893-4728; Steve Mayberry, 893-5903; or Al Eppinger, 893-9436. Please tell your
