To Print Your Newsletter
The following instructions apply to the MS
Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers will be similar.
Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". If you select print "all" normally it will be 7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you should get all of the current news section.
To print page 2 with the permanent club information click on page 2 below and use the same instructions.

It is always appreciated by the membership. At Kiwanis meetings we learn a lot about life. Induction of Mario Richardson  As his sponsor, John Ryor, said, "by joining Mario has significantly raised the IQ level of this club". He is a Lakeland native, has a BS degree in Economics from FSU, and is working on his Masters in Public Administration, after which he will go to law school. He is, an avid reader, a tennis player and planning to take golf lessons. KIWANIS SCHOLARSHIP HOUSE COOKOUT AND PANTRY STOCKING Monday, October 4th, 6 PM. If you can assist be there at 5:30. Bring pantry items such as household maintenance items, non-perishable food, canned or frozen, gift cards to WalMart, etc. SHOPPING FOR TMH NEW BORN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT Johnnye spent $151 at Walmart and delivered the items to the unit. The items are for underprivileged parents who are taking their premature babies home for the first time. We have been doing this project approximately monthly since the mid 1980s. Request For Help at Gilchrist Cathy Cole A few people to assist with the school recycling project two Mondays each month, 9 am to noon, starting next Monday, the 27th. You are to supervise students picking up recycled items from class rooms and taking them to the central location. If enough sign up they can trade off duty days. Marine Corps Toys For Tots Bill Dawkins has
volunteered to collect and turn over to the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserve, Toys for
Tots.
Any member desiring to contribute may bring their toys to the Thursday
morning meetings, give them to Bill and he will see to it that the toys are
delivered to the USMC Toys for Tots collection point.
The Miracle Field Flag Football Season is begining. Helpers for player buddies are needed. to help with publication of materials. WFSU Public Radio Fund Raiser The following members have signed up for October 13th: SWEAT, CARTER, COLLIER, LATOUR, MCBEE, SULLIVAN, BULL, MILLS, maybe more. Jim Barger has the full schedule of times and dates. Betsy Crawford of WFSU will call with a reminder. More Dictionary Donations Teacher Deshiba Clay at R. Frank Nims Middle School asked our club to donate 35 dictionaries to her classroom for the students. President Jim consulted with the appropriate people and it was approved. They will be delivered when received. Our third grade dictionaries will be delivered in the near future. Keep our ill and grieving members and families, and travelers in your prayers. 2010-2011 COMMITTEE SELECTION FORM President Elect Richard Ziegler is circulating a list of committees/projects for each member to sign up for one or more activities. Give him your maximum support. Membership Promotion John Ryor issued a KI booklet, Kiwanis Is A Verb for each of us to read and use to help find potential members. If you didn't get a copy ask him. Give one to you potential members. Our goal is a total of 40 members. MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AWARDS The Kiwanis International 1-2-3, You Hold The Key Awards Program Sponsor members: (1) earns a bronze key, (2) a silver, and (3) a gold. Invite potential members to visit us to see what they are missing and earn your full set of keys if they decide to join us. ----- Remember, your invited guest gets breakfast free the first time he/she visits us. Guardian Ad Litem Golf Touranment October 11th at Golden Eagle $150 per person George Sweat is taking the lead to get a team up. Call him if you want to support this worthy cause. Aluminum Cans Remember to bring in your cans for Jim Varley. It would help if you rinse them out and crush them. PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR NEEDS HELP KATHY COLE is public relations chair and needs your help with articles on our many projects. Give her as many details as possible and she will submit an article. We need to publicize our service as much as possible. It will help with membership growth. Are Your Dues Due? Treasurer Bob Downing asks that you check whether or not your records show you are up to date in your dues, and if not, pay them ASAP. Continue to Collect Wire Clothes Hangers The Southside Club has collected 13,239 hangers. So far they have been paid $400 for 8000 of those hangers… From Gavin Boone to Killearn Kiwanis: "Thank you so much for the help from Killearn Kiwanis. You have been our biggest supporter in this effort. A special thanks to Jim Varley for the Premier Fitness connection." This is an on-going Southside Club project to raise funds for their children's projects. Bring them to the meeting and Chuck Walter will give them to Gavin Boone. IF ENOUGH MEMBERS ATTEND. For every inter-club our club completes between October 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010, we will receive one entry into a drawing for a Garmin GPS Navigator!
