How To Print
Your Newsletter
The following
instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers
will be similar.
Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". If you select print "all" normally it will be 7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you should get all of the current news section.
To print page 2 with the permanent club information click on page 2 below and use the same instructions.

The next league opens March 24th. Please note the Blue Light Teams listed at the bottom of the green column to the left. President Jim announced these teams and their purposes in his initial meeting back in October. MEMBER NOTES Rob Downing is on a trip; THE VARLEY'S are back from a cruise; BAERINGER'S father is ill and she is in upstate NY assisting; Keep our ill and grieving members and families, and travelers in your prayers. Golf Tournament There is less than 2 months left to work on it. We got a late start this year. Forms for players, prize donors and sponsors/partners are available at the sign-in table. They will also be emailed to all members and posted on our website where they can be downloaded and printed at anytime. Chuck plans to also email some brief instructions. Instead of just soliciting sponsorships for the golf tournament Al has suggested we solicit Partners/Sponsors for year round support of our Community Service Programs. Partners/Sponsors will get the same recognition as in the golf tournament but, in addition, will be listed on a new page of our web site. The minimum sponsor amount is $150 but more is encouraged. Al has developed a new information sheet to use along with the new Collage that was handed out earlier. If you did not get one contact Al. ------ Volunteers have signed up to distribute posters and Player forms to various area golf courses, and anywhere else you can post them. Pick up some posters and some player forms to take with you. MEMBERSHIP GROWTH AWARDS The Kiwanis International 1-2-3, You Hold The Key Awards Program Sponsor members: (1) earns a bronze key, (2) a silver, and (3) a gold. Invite potential members to visit us to see what they are missing and earn your full set of keys if they decide to join us. ----- Remember, your invited guest gets breakfast free the first time he/she visits us. Aluminum Tabs and Box Tops for Education Coupons Bring them in for Tommy Mills Many thanks to Marvin Doyal for staying involved with our club projects. ------ Aluminum Cans Remember to bring in your cans for Jim Varley. It would help if you rinse them out. PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR NEEDS HELP KATHY COLE is public relations chair and needs your help with articles on our many projects. Give her as many details as possible and she will submit an article. We need to publicize our service as much as possible. It will help with membership growth. ---- Kathy submitted an article about our K-Kids clubs in this month's Killearn Kloverleaf. Are Your Dues Due? Treasurer Bob Downing asks that you check whether or not your records show you are up to date in your dues, and if not, pay them ASAP. Collect Wire Clothes Hangers This is an on-going Southside Club project to raise funds for their children's projects. Clean out your closets and bring in the hangers. Bring them to the meeting and Chuck Walter will give them to Gavin Boone who will take them to the Southside Club. Thanks to those who have done this. Keep it up. THIS IS GETTING CLOSER. The New Builders Club at Deer Lake Middle School has been delayed until the next adminstrative year beginning October 1st, 2010. Planning needs to get started early. Membership Growth Development - A two year trial for a new membership category has been developed for people who would like to serve but can't make a commitment to regular attendance. Foundation Week 15th Kathy Cole K-KIDS  The DeSoto Trail K-Kids  -------- The Gilchrist Elementary K-Kids Hearts For Haiti: K-Kids made hearts, wrote messages on them and collected $1 donations totaling $1,262.50. WOW!!! Humane Society Friends for Life: Donations of dog food, bowls, leashes, etc. to go the Seniors who have pets but need help caring for them. Bring in donations to give to Kathy until March 15th. Would like volunteers to help deliver to teh seniors. Kick For a Cause (The Foundation). Each child pays $1 to kick. Carwash planned for May 1st. Kathy Cole is chair assisted by Barbara Baeringer. Members are encouraged to attend to see the kids. Paul Downing is getting an Interclub meeting schedule organized for the coming year. Give him your support. Each member is encouraged to attend at lest one interclub meeting each year. Easy ways to do it are: Division 3 quarterly meetings, AKtion club meetings, Key Club and K-Kids meetings when in session. IF ENOUGH MEMBERS ATTEND. For every inter-club our club completes between October 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010, we will receive one entry into a drawing for a Garmin GPS Navigator! The drawing will be held at the Zone 3 Conference and Governor’s Visit on March 13th, 2010. The more inter-clubs our club participates in, the better chance our club has at winning the prize!! FOR THANKSGIVING $200 worth of groceries deliverd to last year's adopted family (a mother with 5 children). FOR A NEW CHRISTMAS ADOPTED FAMILY Can and dry goods are being accumulated. Ruby K Award If you have recruited 5 or more members you are eligible for this award; that is, if you can remember their names. Give the names of your recruits to George Sweat and maybe he will get the pin for you. Awards are made for increments of five members recruited. COMMITTEE CHAIRS SUBMIT ALL YOUR MONTHLY REPORTS FOR THIS YEAR. It is the only way your committee can be eligible for District awards. If you get behind you can catch up on the past due reports. With all these possibilities there is little reason not to have perfect attendance. |
