How To Print
Your Newsletter
The following
instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers
will be similar.
Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". If you select print "all" normally it will be 7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you should get all of the current news section.
To print page 2 with the permanent club information click on page 2 below and use the same instructions.

MEMBER NOTES Ben Colmery is visiting family Michigan. The Walter's daughter-in-law is in the ICU with a bad case of pneumonia which has now been diagnosed as H1N1. During the next two weeks we here at the Tallahassee District Office of the Muscular Dystrophy Association were hoping we could count on the Kiwanis Club to help us assemble supplies and kits that we will be sending out to the participants in our region. If you have any members in your chapter that could spare a few hours over the next two weeks to help us put these kits together, we would be very grateful for their assistance. (Volunteers can schedule time after 5pm, so that it does not interfere with their workday.) Instead of just soliciting sponsorships for the golf tournament Al has suggested we solicit Partners/Sponsors for year round support of our Community Service Programs. Partners/Sponsors will get the same recognition as in the golf tournament but, in addition, will be listed on a new page of our web site. Go to this link to see what to ask for from the prospective partners/sponsors on your list. Read it carefully and print it to have it available to refer to before you approach a prospect. Use this in conjunction with the new Collage that was handed out last week. If you did not get one contact Al. Unclaimed Post Office items picked up and sorted by Marvin and Miss Patty Doyal, then delivered (1) a few items to the animal shelter -- latex gloves and animal food samples (2) one box to the VA clinic (3) one box to Ronald MacDonald House (4) five boxes to Women's Shelter and (5) one box to TMH Rehab Center. They spent 4 hours doing all this. Thank you note from Celebration Baptist for our books for pre-schoolers. Treasurer Bob Downing asks that you check whether or not your records show you are up to date in your dues, and if not, pay them soon. Collect Wire Clothes Hangers This is an on-going Southside Club project to raise funds for their children's projects. Clean out your closets and bring in the hangers. IF ENOUGH MEMBERS ATTEND. For every inter-club our club completes between October 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010, we will receive one entry into a drawing for a Garmin GPS Navigator! The drawing will be held at the Zone 3 Conference and Governor’s Visit on March 13th, 2010. The more inter-clubs our club participates in, the better chance our club has at winning the prize!! Ruby K Award If you have recruited 5 or more members you are eligible for this award; that is, if you can remember their names. Give the names of your recruits to George Sweat and maybe he will get the pin for you. Awards are made for increments of five members recruited. COMMITTEE CHAIRS SUBMIT ALL YOUR MONTHLY REPORTS FOR THIS YEAR. It is the only way your committee can be eligible for District awards. If you get behind you can catch up on the past due reports. A list of District Awards and the criteria is available on the District web site at 2009-2010 District Awards Criteria Find your District Committee Counterpart and communicate with him/her. Florida District Committee Chairs "Brag For A Buck" Just give a buck and state your brag in one minute or less. Over that time costs $5.00 Short, Funny Stuff No one has more driving ambition than the boy who wants to buy a car. HOW TO MAKE UP MISSED MEETINGS TO MAINTAIN YOUR PERFECT ATTENDANCE RECORD Simply attend a meeting of another club, including AKtion, Key, K-Kids, or another Kiwanis Club, a Division Council meeting, a club project, or a Board meeting. With all these possibilities there is little reason not to have perfect attendance. |
