THANK YOU TO THE POST OFFICE

They supported us during the Diaper Drop Campaign and are still doing it.
Thanks to Michael L. Halter, Postmaster, Tallahassee, Florida and John Lindsey, NIXIE, United States Post Office, Tallahassee, Florida.

The Postmaster authorized Mr. Lindsey to call Marvin Doyal when there was stuff that we could distribute to community agencies. This is the third time the PO has come through for us with 2 bags of cards and notes, 3 bags of diapers, 1 bag of samples and food supplements, and 2 bags of sanitary napkins. Also a small bag of things that will make good gifts for AKtion's adopted family.

TMH DONATIONS
Bob Gragnani and Angie went shopping an picked up 29 items to go along with a lot clothing donated by our members for the TMH Children's area.
A Thankyou card from Donna Bennett.

CHRISTMAS CONNECTION DONATION
The Club has sent a check for $500 to "The Christmas Connection."

Included with our installation was additional equipment purchased by the Women's (or is it Ladies?) Junior League.
The Kiwanis International Foundation check for $4,782.02 has been received. Thanks to Gavin for the grant writing on this.
Anticipated Public Relations Event in January with some local dignitaries.

You never know what you might experience on an Interclub visit. This time it was a pre-schooler Christmas party at their school, lunch of hotdogs and chili, Santa Clause with gifts for the 32 children and hugs all around at the end. (KRAUSE, BULL, MAYBERRY, GRIFFIN)

Buy some ornaments from him and sell them. THEY ARE OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT. However, more can be sold from our reserve for guest speaker gifts which the Club has paid for. So, if you want one for someone contact Gavin. Or, maybe another member still has some unsold. Total income from sales as of 12/07/06 is $2,523. THANKS TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS FOR THEIR EFFORTS WITH THIS DESERVING PROJECT.

WHAT A SHY GROUP!!!
No one has responded to the note below.
Our members have many life experiences which would make good programs for the AKtion Club. Work, hobbies, travel, etc. Things you have done in your life are interesting to us and them. Let Chuck know what you think you might be able to present.
PLEASE!! Each member put their humility aside and prepare a 20-25 minute program about your life, occupation, favorite hobby or anything else, and let Chuck know you are willing. The AKtion Club members would love to hear about your life experiences. The first opportunity is January 25th.

MEMBER NOTES
Not a member, but a friend; Peter Richardson has suffered multiple strokes. JIM VARLEY still has about a month with his arm in a sling. He was back with us. JIM BARGER expects to be back after January 1st. JACK KERWIN fell on the steps leaving the meeting and cut his lip. According to George Sweat John Ryor shot a 79 with the Seniors group at Bainbridge Thursday.
Keep our ill and grieving members and families in your prayers.
