HUMAN & SPIRITUAL AIMS
from LeRoy Thompson
In Prayer: Don't give God instructions -- just report for duty!
Gretchen Everhart Project
Our "construction manager" Charlie Esher, will lead the contruction of a new "Musical Bass Wall" at the GE playground.
Wednesday, October 22nd Al Eppinger, Tommy Mills, Steve Mayberry, and Norm Mears met at Charley Esher's  house to assemble, prime and create additional parts for the BIG fish which eventually will be mounted at Gretchen-Everhart school.
Charley had a number of the components cut out and ready for assembly.
Tommy had the various lengths of tubes cut and ready for to drill the holes and he started the prime coat on the waves.
Al brought the hose material that will go into the gong assembly.
Norm brought the chains, unfortunately in working on them at his house, he hurt his finger, we hope he recovers quickly.
Steve brought the desire and proceeded to do all the hard work.
Each player donated about 5 hours to the project (secretary may wish to vary these total hours to suit)
Charley stood and watched.
Betty served lemonade and a good time was had by 4 of us. The fellowship involved in such projects is usuall the best part overall.
More work opportunities will be available Wednesday, Nov 12th to finish up. Check with Charley.

Southside Kiwanis
Gavin Boone gave a status report on the Southside Club including their new web site at www.southsidekiwanis.org and a Family Day project at Southwood on November 11th. He circulated a list to sign up to help with some of the fun projects.  If you have some time to enjoy fellowship with the Southside members on this worthwhile project call Gavin at 556-8705.
-------
If  you know of people who live or work in that area give their name and number to Al Eppinger to pass on to the Southside Club.

Miracle Field News

The dedication was Wednesday, November 5th at 11:30 AM. Ten of our members attended: ZIEGLER, WALTER, RYOR, MAYBERRY, P. DOWNING, COLOMBO, EPPINGER (AND MARY ANN), MILLS, SWEAT, THOMPSON. A tasty lunch was provided by Barnacle Bill's.
------
Our club has exceded our goal of $10,000 with a total of $10,344. The next level is $15,000.

To encourage individual donations the Board has voted to match each member's contribution. Our club is within $1,500 of its original $10,000 goal. That means we, as individuals, only have to come up with $750 to be matched by the Club.
