How To Print
Your Newsletter The following
instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers
will be similar.
Get the newsletter in
the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE.
Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all
four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side
from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE
again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should
be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a
Range of Pages". If you select print "all" normally it will be
7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you
should get all of the current news section.

instructions. Click

 Miccosukee Boy's and Girl's Club Objective
is to inspire and enable the community's most at risk kids to be better
citizens. Get kids to think long term about education, etc. in spite of
their immediate needs. Davis welcomes you to
call him on his cell phone at 980-2656 to discuss the club in more
detail. Volunteers are desparately needed to keep this struggling
program going.
NEW MEMBER INDUCTION
 Jerry McBee, sponsored by Chas LaTour (John Ryor) was induceted by George Sweat. Jerry is a retired educator having taught math at Leon High and TCC.
Holiday Season Projects Salvation Army Bell Ringing Sat. Dec 5th 10-8 PM at Publix Hospice Tree of Remembrance Dec 2nd - 2-6 PM Dec 7th - ??? Dec 14th - 6-9 PM Dec 19 - 2-9 PM all at Best Buy on the Parkway Thanksgiving Baskets for Gretchen Everhart Volunteers needed. So far we have P. Downing and Pam Cooper.
Aluminum Tabs October 28, 2009, Tommy Mills and Marvin Doyal picked up and sold 334 pounds of
tabs. They received $.35 a pound or $116.90 for Ronald
McDonald. They spend 2 hours each on the project. Aluminum Cans John Ryor and Jim Varley took 76 lbs of cans to recycle and received $27 for out club administrative fund. Remember to bring in your cans for Jim Varley. It would help if you rinse them out.
PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR KATHY
COLE is taking over public relations and needs your help with articles
on our many projects. Give her as many details as possible and she will
submit an article. We need to publicize our service as much as
possible. It will help with membership growth.
One of District Governor Donna Parton's suggested projects: A
special effort to provide books for pre-schoolers. Books-a-Million has
a table with greatly reduced prices for books that can serve this
purpose. We now have 51 books, many from The Dollar Tree near Steinmart for $1.00 each. We need 14 more. President Jim has arranged with 1st Baptist pre-kindergarten to use the books (65 students).
Are Your Dues Due? Treasurer
Bob Downing asks that you check whether or not your records show you
are up to date in your dues, and if not, pay them soon. Collect Wire Clothes Hangers This
is an on-going Southside Club project to raise funds for their
children's projects. Clean out your closets and bring in the hangers.
Someone will get them to the Southside Club. Gavin Boone lives in
Killearn and will be glad to take them.

Monticello Kiwanis Golf Tournament and Steak dinner. Monday, November 9th. $50
FSU Circle-K Thanksgiving Feast for 95 residents of the Hope Community (November 22nd) This
is an annual event conducted by Circle-K. They need some help with food
and ingredients, articles for preparation such as disposable pans, and
cash donations. Also, you can volunteer to serve on the day.

Mears has passed the dictionaries to those members who will be delivering them to the 3rd graders.
The cost was $1.80 per book including the labels showing the donation

RECORD Simply attend
a meeting of another club, including AKtion, Key, K-Kids, or another
Kiwanis Club, a Division Council meeting, a club project, or a Board
meeting. With all these possibilities there is little reason
not to have perfect attendance.
