How To Print
Your Newsletter
The following
instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers
will be similar.
Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". If you select print "all" normally it will be 7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you should get all of the current news section.
To print page 2 with the permanent club information click on page 2 below and use the same instructions.

DOWNING; Winner: VARLEY; Attendance: 23; Brag For a Buck: WALTER, SIU Salukis rated #2 from #8; MEARS (2), (1) Ga Tech performance agreement with EPPINGER, (2) won $1 from EPPINGER at golf. Guests: NONE ------ PROGRAM Mike Schmidt  Owner, Another Broken Egg (Mike is a big supporter of our club, in our golf tournament and social events.) His management style; helping employees (mostly younger people) be better employees and citizens. Their Web Site. PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIR KATHY COLE is taking over public relations and needs your help with articles on our many projects. Give her as many details as possible and she will submit an article. We need to publicize our service as much as possible. It will help with membership growth. One of District Governor Donna Parton's suggested projects: A special effort to provide books for pre-schoolers. Books-a-Million has a table with greatly reduced prices for books that can serve this purpose. NORM MEARS brought in the first book this morning. President Jim has arranged with 1st Baptist pre-kindergarten to use the books (65 students). Are Your Dues Due? Treasurer Bob Downing asks that you check whether or not your records show you are up to date in your dues, and if not, pay them soon. Collect Wire Clothes Hangers This is an on-going Southside Club project to raise funds for their children's projects. Clean out your closets and bring in the hangers. Someone will get them to the Southside Club. Gavin Boone lives in Killearn and will be glad to take them. There are also things going on that some of us never hear mentioned. The Dictionary Project Norm Mears will be delivering the dictionaries for 3rd graders. The cost was $1.80 per book including the labels showing the donation was by Kiwanis. The Community Christian School has been added this year, and volunteers are needed to delivered to them and to Hawks Rise. Ruby K Award If you have recruited 5 or more members you are eligible for this award; that is, if you can remember their names. Give the names of your recruits to George Sweat and maybe he will get the pin for you. Awards are made for increments of five members recruited. COMMITTEE CHAIRS SUBMIT ALL YOUR MONTHLY REPORTS FOR THIS YEAR. It is the only way your committee can be eligible for District awards. If you get behind you can catch up on the past due reports. A list of District Awards and the criteria is available on the District web site at 2009-2010 District Awards Criteria Find your District Committee Counterpart and communicate with him/her. Florida District Committee Chairs "Brag For A Buck" Just give a buck and state your brag in one minute or less. HOW TO MAKE UP MISSED MEETINGS TO MAINTAIN YOUR PERFECT ATTENDANCE RECORD Simply attend a meeting of another club, including AKtion, Key, K-Kids, or another Kiwanis Club, a Division Council meeting, a club project, or a Board meeting. With all these possibilities there is little reason not to have perfect attendance. To Do List: Get your guest's email address and send him/her the link to our Newsletter each week. Increase your efforts for the coming year. Help us grow toward better community service. PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS Tell Secretary Al Eppinger how many years are shown on your current perfect attendance tab, if you have one. Also, tell him how many years you have earned. This includes previous membership in other Kiwanis clubs. This is not for calender years. It is for one year of consecutive meetings and/or makeups.
