To Print Your Newsletter
The following
instructions apply to the MS Internet
Explorer Browser, but other browsers will be similar.
Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.
To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT. A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". The first time select print "all" so you will have a copy of the entire Newsletter content. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 5" and you should get all of the current news section.

PROGRAM  Cynthia VanLandingham, substituting for Marvin Goldstein giving us information about her Tally Piano & Keyboard Studios situated across from Another Broken Egg in Killearn Lakes Plantation. She provides individual and group lessons to children ages 6 - 11. ----- New Member Induction  ERIC METCALF, sponsored by Chuck Walter; Native of Tallahassee, Manager of the People's First Community Bank on Kerry Forest; active volunteer in area schools and interested in K-Kids and other school activities. Elections - Treasurer Vacancy The Treasurer position still needs to be filled. Please step forward and be willing to serve. Jim Barger will be a good teacher. Call Dave. On June 18th the Board approved Al Eppinger as new Secretary for the forthcoming year (2008-09) Special Killearn Kiwanis Pins In the box on the sign-in table there are special pins for our club. Pick one up for $1.00 and wear it. ------ Golf Tournament The final "Thankyou" cards have been mailed to sponsors/donors and players. Board Meeting Minutes June 18th Serving The Club If you don't feel like you are involved enough in community service there is plenty to be done. Just ask President John Ryor how you can help. June Club Activities *Two AKtion Club meetings *AKtion Club Dempsey Mayo Road Pickup June 7th. *Ronald McDonald House Tabs: 412 lbs ($288.40) delivered to recycling *AKtion Club Dog Wash, Saturday, June 14th. NOTE: If you are aware of any activities that should be added above advise the editor and the secretary. Provide secretary Jim Varley with details of money spent, number of members participating and miles traveled. MEMBER NOTES Another death in the Mayberry family. AL EPPINGER & TOMMY MILLS attending the International Convention in Orlando. Some others are traveling. Keep our ill and grieving members and families, and travelers in your prayers. K-KIDS PROJECT The DeSoto Trail administration accepted our offer to set up the K-Kids program. Our committee is composed of Al Eppinger, Tommy Mills, John Ryor and LeRoy Thompson. The Division 3 objective is to have each club sponsor at least one new K-Kids Club. This club will start when school begins in August and will be formed in conjunction with the Student Council. CELEBRATE THE 4TH WITH A COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT IN GREENSBORO. Help Al and Jim Wylie at the membership recruitment table at the celebration and see a good fireworks show. Let Al know if you can help answer questions and explain Kiwanis community service. Collect Aluminum cans (not the tabs) for recycling. Secretary Jim Varley has volunteered to collect what we bring in and take them to recycling. Preferable they should be crushed, but bring them either way. ------- Continue to collect the tabs and bring them to CK. Collections HOTEL TOILETRIES Travelers remember to bring back your hotel toiletries to give to Johnnye for the Refuge House. of Sponsored Programs. We have already received a $5,000 grant this
year for our Playground Project and the Division 3 Miracle Field project received $10,000. Next; June 14th President John Ryor would like us to make a better effort to support the Aktion Club by attending more of their meetings on a regular basis and participating in more of their projects. This is something you will appreciate. ------ On Tuesday, the 29th, District Governor Mark Taylor visited the State Cabinet meeting and received a proclamation honoring Florida Kiwanis from Governor Crist. AKtion Club member Resa and a member of both Circle-K and Key Club were in attendance to meet both Governors. ------ Collecting canned and dry food for ECHO at each Meeting. ------ Let's help The AKtion Club collect Box Tops For Education for Gretchen Everhart ----- Key Club  Web Site New Lt.
