How To Print Your Newsletter
The following instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers will be similar.

Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.

To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT.  A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages".  If you select print "all" normally it will be 7 pages. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 7" and you should get all of the current news section.

To print page 2 with the permanent club information click on page 2 below and use the same instructions.

DeSoto Trail K-Kids

John Ryor and Jim Valey gave each participating member
of the Student Council/K-Kids Club a Certificate of Appreciation.  It was
a great ceremony well supported by Ms. Sealleses and Ms. Cooperman, faculty.

Col Earl Bufton Scholarship

Holly Wiggins was present along with her parents, Clyde and Debbie, to receive the $1,000 scholarship check to help her attend the University of Florida this fall.

JOY NUZUM BRINGS TABS AND STUFFED BEARS.
Joy gave George Sweat a large bag of tabs and a bag of small stuffed bears that were sent via mail from her daughter-in-law recently.

De Big Fish is Back
Talented engineers and highly qualified technicians assembled earlier this week to make some adjustments to De Big Fish. (ESHER, MILLS, MAYBERRY AND SWEAT)
Next a work day at G-E to pour a slab in front of de big fish. Wednesday June 3 at 9:30. Tommy Mills as agreeed to pick up the sackcrete bag goods and 3 2X4's 8' long. Will need an axe, a couple of shovels and at least one wheelbarrow and a number of warm bodies.
Will gather there about 9:30, say a prayer and then commence to dig, grade, mix, pour and finish, no initials however the Killearn Kiwanis logo would be appropriate, should be out in 2 hrs max

FSU Baseballs To AKtion Clubbers
Charley Esher's nephew is a student manager of some sort to Mike Martin and the FSU baseball team. He recently gave Charley two autographed balls, which he turned over to Ben Colmery to decide how to determine which AKtion Club members were to get them through contest or luck of the draw.

Elections
Unanamously elected as nominated: President, Jim Barger; President Elect, Richard Zeigler; Treasurer, Bob Downing; Directors for  two years, George Sweat and Pam Cooper. Already elected as Director in place of Dennis Faust is Tommy Mills until this September 30th.
Charlie Esher was separately elected Secretary by the Board, as is customary.
Thanks to those who have agreed to serve the club in these important leadership positions.

Training for the new officers
will be June 13th, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at the Fellowship Baptist Church on North Monroe St. Everyone is invited and this is a good session especially for newer members who have never attended before.

Need a Chair and several committee members to handle the establishment of a new Builders Club at Deer Lake Middle School next school term. You will be steered to the right information. A very worthy project for children. Help keep up our momentum for service to children.

MEMBER NOTES
ANOTHER MEMBER LOST
Condolences to the family of VINCE PUCCIO who passed away Sunday, May 24th. Vince was a fine gentleman and a big contributor to the success of our club the relatively short time he was with us. Not a Thursday went by without him saying "God bless you".
THE KRAUSES will be moving to Orange Park to be near their daughter about the end of June.
THE PAUL DOWNING'S will be traveling most of June.
THE MEARS' spent two weeks at Hilton Head.
THE BULL'S will be visiting Boston, Montreal and Toronto the next two weeks.
BOB GRAGNANI could be seen in a Democrat photo while making his faithful, annual appearance at the VFW cemetery Memorial Day ceremony.
Keep our ill and grieving members and families, and travelers in your prayers.

A GOOD DEAL. For $15 you can see the baseball game and get a hot-dog and drink. If you are interested call President Dave to get details.

Tallahassee Club Dinner Theater night, Thursday, July 16th, at the Tallahassee Little Theater.
Titanic, The Musical for $20 per person. President Dave has more details. The report from last year was very favorable.

Committee Chairs must submit committee reports to the District online at the District web site to be eligible for awards. It is easy once you get the feel of it. Get off to a good start by doing it now. Get the recognition we deserve.

If you don't feel like you are involved enough in community service there is plenty to be done. Now is time to tell President Dave Colombo how you want to be involved this coming year. And while you are at it tell President Designate Jim Barger how you want to be involved this coming year after October 1st. The list of committees and projects is on page 2.

Ruby K Award
If you have recruited 5 or more members you are eligible for this award; that is, if you can remember their names. Give the names of your recruits to George Sweat and maybe he will get the pin for you. Awards are made for increments of five members recruited.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS
Tell Secretary Al Eppinger how many years are shown on your current perfect attendance tab, if you have one. Also, tell him how many years you have earned. This includes previous membership in other Kiwanis clubs. This is not for calender years. It is for one year of consecutive  meetings and/or makeups.

HOW TO MAKE UP MISSED MEETINGS TO MAINTAIN YOUR PERFECT ATTENDANCE RECORD
Simply attend a meeting of another club, including AKtion, Key, K-Kids, or another Kiwanis Club, a Division Council meeting, a club project, or a Board meeting.
With all
these possibilities there is little reason not to have perfect attendance.

It is the only way your committee can be eligible for District awards. If you get behind you can catch up on the past due reports.
