How To Print Your Newsletter
The following instructions apply to the MS Internet Explorer Browser, but other browsers will be similar.

Get the newsletter in the browser window. At the left end of the top menu line click on FILE. Then click on Page Setup. You will get a Page Setup Box. At bottom set all four "margins" to .25 inches. Click OK. This should keep the right side from being cutoff during printing.

To print click on FILE again. Then click on PRINT.  A new print box comes up. There should be a "Print Range" section where you can select "Print All" or "Print a Range of Pages". The first time select print "all" so you will have a copy of the entire Newsletter content. On subsequent issues you can select "Print Pages 1 - 5" and you should get all of the current news section.

Young Children Priority One Deliveries to TMG
Bob Gragnani reported delivery of 39 items of new clothing worth about $139 plus 4 bags of clothing from his neice and Joy Nuzum.

AWARDS FOR 2007-2008
Committee Chairs must submit committee reports to the District online at the District web site to be eligible for awards. It is easy once you get the feel of it.

Their upcoming fund raiser is THIS FRIDAY, May 9th. Sounds like a fun evening from 5 - 8 PM with complmentary Kool Beanz hors d'oeuvres and dirnks; and five houses to view in the new Evening Rose subdivision. Only $30. Call Al or Jim Varley for tickets.

MICCOSUKEE LITTLE LEAGUE
Go see them play the next 3 Saturday mornings from 9 - 1 pm start times. T-Ball at 9 am, Machine pitch at 11 am, older youngsters at 1 pm. They will give us a program May 22nd to show us how our money was used.
Havana Club Golf Fund Raiser
Tee off following a lunch on May 30th. 
$50 per person. George is trying to get a foursome together. Call him.

It was a great success because of the hard work and generosity of all the members. Treasurer Jim reported an approximate net profit of just over $10,000 subject to some final expenses.

MEMBER NOTES
THE RYORS are traveling (interrupted by a return for the golf tournament); THE BULL'S visited in Alabama and Biloxi. 
Keep our ill and grieving members and families, and travelers in your prayers.

K-KIDS PROJECT
The DeSoto Trail administration accepted our offer to set up the K-Kids program. Our committee is composed of Al Eppinger, Tommy Mills, John Ryor and LeRoy Thompson. The Division 3 objective is to have each club sponsor at least one new K-Kids Club. This club will start when school begins in August and will  be formed  in conjunction with the Student Council.

New Kiwanis Club at Southwood
The club is now officially organized and is meeting twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at noon at The Southwood Welcome Center (Subject to change). There are 21 women and 11 men members. Their Chartering Dinner will be May 19th. Our members are encouraged to attend to support this new club. Tickets are $20 per person. See Al to get them.  Two of the members, Peggy Hinson and Jim Wylie, helped with our hole-in-one monitoring.  If  you know of people who live or work in that area give their name and number to Al Eppinger so he can invite them.

District Governor Mark Taylor made a visit to Division 3 Monday, April 28th. On Tuesday, the 29th, he visited the State Cabinet meeting and received a proclamation honoring Florida Kiwanis from Governor Crist. AKtion Club member Resa and a member of both Circle-K and Key Club were in attendance to meet both Governors.

Florida Foundation Caring Corner at the District Convention
The money goes to the Florida Kiwanis Foundation to use for the benefit of Sponsored Programs. We have already received a $5,000 grant this year for our Playground Project and the Division 3 Miracle Field project received $10,000.
