these items each week to learn about Kiwanis history and trivia. Golf Tournament 24 players signed, but not paid, as of March 26th. Approximately 45 prizes and 18 sponsorships. Former Club Secretary George Easterbrook sent a check for $300 from Lewiston, NY. Posters
and player registration forms are available. Take posters and ask those where you
do business for permission to post them. Some will say no, but others
will permit it. Donor/Sponsor Solicitation Forms are available at the sign-in table. The cover has a typo on the year so change it from 2008 to 2009. Click on the 2008 Donors and Sponsors page links to see their names.
2008 Prize Donors
2008 Sponsors and
refresh your memory about who you contacted last year. A list by member
name has been circulated via email. IT IS TIME TO PICK UP THE PACE. We only have a relative few prizes and sponsorships. There is only a little over one month to work on this. Sponsors will have the opportunity to sponsor a nice prize for "Closest to the hole" on all four par three holes for only $150. ----- The golf web pages have been updated for this year. Please view them and mention errors or changes needed. ---- An article with 2 photos is in the March 26th NE Chronicle on page 5.
REMEMBER *A
volunteer is needed to take over the Community Service Committee to
relieve President Dave Colombo of those tasks. He has enough to do. The
chair does not have to do all the work. Solicit several committee
members to assist. *Need someone to do the March of
Dimes. *A
volunteer is STILL needed to be treasurer in place of President Elect Jim
Barger. He will train thoroughly and be available to help. *Also, a Secretary Understudy is needed to help Al Eppinger with secretarily duties while he is handling the golf tournament. *The
club needs a public relations chair. Step forward and help our club get
recognition for all the good things we do. You can let your imagination
run free. --- Tommy
Mills is handling Habitat for Humanity and he will look for Diaper Bank
contacts to determine how/if to proceed with it. Other possible
projects the Board is looking at are: Pregnancy Help Center (PHI),
Blankets, Guardian ad litem, New Senior Projects, and International
Fund Walk. Al Eppinger will do the Builders Club later this year.
Loose Change Collections Bring your loose change in to C. K. for the Kiwanis International Special Projects Fund.
