Monthly Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Date: Jul 15, 2009

Presiding: President-Elect Jim Barger called the meeting to order at 0700 HRS.

Board members present: Pres. Elect, Jim Barger; Treasurer Jim Barger, Secretary Al Eppinger;

Directors: J.Luebkemann; S. Mayberry.

Committee Chairs: R. Ziegler (Key), G. Sweat (Membership).

Other Members present: Bob Downing, Richard Zeigler

Minutes of the June 2009 meeting were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer’s Report was read and approved: Jim Barger reported the following balances:

ADMIN: $2,263.; FOUNDATION: $17223. ; FOUNDATION CD: $10,614. .

TOTAL: $30,100. . (Details filed in club records)

Golf Tourney: $7,852 versus budget of $9,000. $150 still outstanding from Merrill Lynch Foundation.

OLD BUSINESS:

• Gretchen Everhart Playground Musical Fish was completed.
• Killearn Home’s project materials available, work date set for Aug 2.
• Golf Tourney review set for July 23.
• George Sweat forming group to develop alternate membership proposal.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Backpack project approved for $200 at Gilchrist with Kathy Cole.
• The formation of Deerlake Builders Club was delayed till 10/11 year.
• The dictionary project schedule for 09/10 was scheduled to start at beginning of school year to be completed by Oct 30. Norm Mears will chair again.
• Approved up to $200 for caring corner if contributions of goods not forthcoming.
• New member Rick Thebold approved. Katy Cole sponsored.
• Officer Installation and program by Lt. Gov. Donna Wells on Oct 1.

COMMITTEE REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• District Convention in Orlando Aug 27 – 30.
• Tallahassee Little Theater with Tallahassee Club July 16.5 attended from club. (2 spouses)
• Key club set to start August 24.
• Greensboro Aktion Club trip August 13, need drivers @5:00PM.
• Kick-ball tourney at Miracle Field Jul 25, need volunteers 9:00 till 1:00.
• Member Guest to be scheduled in August.

Meeting adjourned at 7:50 AM.
