Diaper Drop - 2006 www.diaperdrop.com
Tallahassee area Kiwanis Clubs are conducting Diaper Drop 2006 to collect diapers for needy families in our area.
Why Diapers?
Food Stamps do not pay for diapers
Minimum Wage
provides a gross income of $834. If a family cannot
purchase diapers in bulk, they may pay $75 - $100 a month for diapers.
21.6 % of the children in Tallahassee live below the poverty level.
Daycare providers to do not allow cloth diapers. Many families living in poverty do not have a washer & dryer.
Because a baby should not have to go to bed in the same diaper they woke up in.
Please help Killearn Kiwanis raise just 7,000 diapers for ECHO, The Capital Area Action Agency (to include Good Shepherd Church) by July 31st. All diapers will go to struggling families in our area.
You can help by:
1. Holding a diaper drive at your office, civic club, or church (Volunteers can pick up the diapers. Just call the Kiwanis Contact below.)
2. Making a financial or in-kind contribution.
($10, $20, $30 will help.) $36 can sponsor a baby for an entire month!
