Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Presiding: Pres. Tommy Mills.

Board members present: President, Tommy Mills; Pres. Elect, John Ryor; Treasurer, Jim Barger Secretary, Jim Varley; Remaining on the Board: Immediate Past Pres., E. Al Eppinger.

Directors: Johnnye Luebkemann & John Robbins (until 9/08); Marvin Doyal (to fill Jan Collier's spot until 9/07); Charlie Esher & Bob Orsillo (until 9/07).

Committee Chairs: B. Bull (AKtion), R. Ziegler (Key), C.K. Krause (I/C & R.McD.), C. Escher (GE), R. Gragnani (Diaper/Vets), D. Columbo(Comm./Senior), Nuzum(Golf), Mills(DiaperDrop/Vets).

Treasurers Report: There is a $4614.69 balance in the Administrative fund, $12561.72 in the Foundation Fund, and $10000.00 in a Foundation Certificate of Deposit for a Grand Total of $27176.41.

Discussions/Motions:

-Killearn Kiwanis is sponsoring The Miccosukee Little League this year. It was moved and seconded to support that effort in the range of $300.00 - $450.00.

-Charlie Nuzum announced the posters for our 07MAY07 Golf Tournament are out in each of the golf clubs in town.

-Killearn Kiwanis will provide a Spirit Station for the March of Dimes WalkAmerica on 14APR07.

-Midwinter conference is scheduled for Lake City on 31MAR07. Seven (7) members have signed up to attend. Jim Varley will drive.

-The annual International Convention will be held in San Antonio, TX this year.

-There was a mix up in dates to provide lunches for the Habitat for Humanity students.

-Guardian as Litem program wants to partner with us next year.

-Early APR07 Al Eppinger is to meet and review the Kiwanis Division III goals and objectives.

-Membership was discussed briefly.

- Pictures showing Kiwanis at work will be displayed at our Golf Tournament.

-Jana McConnaughhay resigned effective 28FEB07. She cited work pressure.
