Presiding: President Dave Colombo called the meeting to order at 0700 HRS.

Other Members present: Tom Fackender, John Ryor.
Minutes of the 20MAY09 meeting were reviewed and approved without correction.
Treasurer’s Report was read and approved: Jim Barger reported the following balances:
ADMIN: $1,412.05, FOUNDATION: $16,943.16, FOUNDATION CD: $10,614.00,
TOTAL: $28,969.21 (See ATT. to hard copy of Secretary’s report.)
OLD BUSINESS:
-Club Leadership Training 13JUN09 at
-Hours spent by our club members, even in another service
club or church venue may be reported as Kiwanis hours worked, e.g. Habitat for
Humanity or
-Have letters to all our golf tourney sponsors been sent out yet? Cards were sent to all participants.
NEW BUSINESS:
-District Convention is 27-30AUG09 in
-International Convention is in
-Tallahassee Little Theater is presenting the musical, The Titanic. Tickets sell for $20.00.
-Miracle Field Kick Ball started 11JUN09.
-Soccer Tournament – Need 3 members to assist with directions and crowd handling. Moved and seconded to assist this effort. John Ryor was the first volunteer. Monies earned by the volunteering club members at the Soccer Tournament will be used in the Club’s Administrative Fund to cover administrative costs incurred by the club.
-Division 3 meeting is 13JUL09 at Fellowship Baptist.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
-KEY and K-Kids – No Activity. Will restart both next school year.
MEMBERSHIP – Laurie Ward is a potential member. George Sweat spoke at length of Alternate and Associate membership concepts. George will explore the concepts with a membership sub-committee.
AKtion Club toured the Tallahassee Democrat Press 11JUN09. (John/Carol Ryor, Bob Downing, Bob Bull, Ben Colmery, and L.T. Thompson attended for an Interclub!)
BUILDERS CLUB – Deferred until Al Eppinger returns.
Killearn Homes project. Project date is still to be set.
