Monthly Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Date: 21Jan09

Presiding: President Dave Colombo called the meeting to order at 0700 HRS.

Board members present: President, Dave Colombo; Pres. Elect, Jim Barger; Treasurer, Jim Barger Secretary, Al Eppinger; Remaining on the Board: Immediate Past Pres., John Ryor.

Directors: J.Luebkemann; S. Mayberry, C. Escher, and D. Faust (Until 9/09).

Committee Chairs: R. Ziegler (Key), C.K. Krause, D. Colombo(Comm./Senior), (Golf-VACANT), G. Sweat (Membership).

Other Members present: Tom Fackender

Minutes of the 17 Dec 2008 meeting were reviewed and approved as corrected.

Treasurer’s Report was read and approved: Jim Barger reported the following balances:

ADMIN: $ 3,582. , FOUNDATION: $ 11,914. , FOUNDATION CD: $10,456.

TOTAL: $25,953. (Details filed in club records)

OLD BUSINESS:

• Gretchen Everhart Playground complete. Minor adjustments planned with music teacher.
• Killearn Homes project scheduled Feb/Mar. by G. Sweat
• Golf Tourney committee’s staffed with 18 members.
• Dictionary Project targeted for late February. Club handling. Norm Mears is Chair.
• Continue to need Treasurer and Secretary. Jim Varley scheduled for surgery?
• Budget was approved as amended. President Dave to publish.
• Lord Lawton will be March 2! Scholarship selection committee, R. Zeigler, J. Robbins and J. Ryor.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Spring Social/Membership drive scheduled for Mar21 or 28 4:30 to 7PM at Another Broken Egg.
• Club is reminded to bring in soup labels and box tops for children.
• Zone meeting Feb 7^th at Lake City.

COMMITTEE REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS:

· The District 3 council meeting was held Jan 5^th. New By-laws were approved.

· Tally Grill tips are now on the bills?

· Desoto Trails K Kid’s meetings and Gilchrist K Kid’s meetings were reviewed.

· .Chiles Key club is looking for projects. Club is active and energized.

· Tallahassee Interclub Monday 25^th.

· Golf Tourney preparation well underway. Letter being sent to heavy hitters, Timeline and sub-committee responsibilities being finalized.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 AM sharp.
